About Ted David Designs
TD Designs handcrafts jewelry and mixed metal forgings, working in precious metals, steel, copper, and bronze. As a self-taught artist, with formal training in chemistry and materials science, he utilizes both traditional and modern practices and tooling to create evocative pieces which speak with their form, color, and mix of surface finishes.
The beauty and uniqueness of rough castings is often not seen in finished pieces after artisans detail and polish to bring out the precious metal attributes, but these more primitive looks can also be integrated into the look of a final piece to create further dimensionality.
